Peru has a way of staying with you. From the buzz of Lima’s food scene to the stillness of the Andes and the awe of Machu Picchu, this journey is about more than seeing iconic places. It’s about experiencing them in a way that feels thoughtful, connected, and human.
This queer group trip is designed for LGBTQ+ travelers who want to explore Peru at an intentional pace, with space for both shared experiences and personal discovery. We’ll begin in Lima, tasting our way through the city’s markets and neighborhoods, then head to Cusco to wander cobblestone streets, explore historic sites, and settle into the rhythm of the Andes. Traveling through the Sacred Valley and by scenic train to Machu Picchu, we’ll experience Peru’s landscapes and history without rushing the moments that matter most.

Arrive in Lima at your leisure and settle into our hotel. In the evening, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner to meet your fellow travelers and kick off the journey together. After dinner, we’ll point you in the direction of some great nightlife areas so you can explore Lima after dark on your own terms.
Today blends Lima’s history, neighborhoods, and world-class cuisine on a guided city, market, and food tour. You might explore colorful local markets, stroll through historic neighborhoods like Barranco or Miraflores, and sample iconic dishes that reflect Peru’s diverse cultural influences. For those interested, an optional Pisco tasting experience can be added later in the day.
We fly to Cusco this morning and transfer to our hotel, allowing time to acclimate to the altitude. The rest of the day is open to explore at your own pace. Wander Plaza de Armas, explore the cobblestone streets of San Blas, visit artisan markets, or relax in a café overlooking the city’s red-tiled rooftops.
This morning, we explore Cusco’s historic center on a guided city tour, with highlights including Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Qorikancha (the Temple of the Sun), and local markets. The afternoon is free to personalize your experience. You might book a table at one of Cusco’s standout restaurants, visit nearby ruins like Sacsayhuamán, or opt into an evening visit to the Cusco Planetarium, which includes transportation and admission for a deeper look at Inca astronomy.
Today we journey through the Sacred Valley, visiting Moray’s circular agricultural terraces, the striking Maras Salt Mines, and Chinchero, where we’ll meet local weavers and learn about traditional Andean textile techniques. This day blends dramatic landscapes with living culture as we move through villages and countryside shaped by Inca ingenuity.
This morning, we will board a scenic train through the Andes to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. The journey itself is part of the experience, with sweeping views of mountains, rivers, and lush valleys unfolding outside your window. After arrival, enjoy free time to browse local markets, wander around town, or soak in nearby hot springs.
We rise early for a guided visit to Machu Picchu, exploring its terraces, temples, and panoramic viewpoints at a thoughtful, unhurried pace. After taking in one of the world’s most iconic sites, we return by train to Cusco. The evening is open for rest and a relaxed dinner on your own.
We fly back to Lima in the morning and have time to relax or explore before the evening. Tonight, we’ll come together for a farewell dinner to celebrate the journey and the community formed along the way. After dinner, we’ll head out to experience Lima’s queer nightlife.
